 Dickson Chu – Digital Payments, Former Managing Director at Citi, PayPal, Yahoo!

Mr. Chu has over 25 years of leadership experience in financial services technology, digital payment and marketplace innovation. As Managing Director at Citi, Mr. Chu was responsible for the development of global e/m-commerce capabilities, as well as the development and launch of Citi's Google Wallet platform. He served as VP of Global Product and Experience at PayPal where he led product strategy, development and user experience design for millions of consumers and merchant customers. Mr. Chu served as General Manager for Yahoo! PayDirect, where he transformed the domestic peer-to-peer payments business into an international money transfer service in partnership with MoneyGram. Prior to Yahoo!, he served as Senior Vice President of Business Innovation at innoVentry, a consumer financial services network of self-service kiosks that delivered check cashing, money transfer, money order and ATM functionality. Mr. Chu served as a Vice President of Wells Fargo Bank, where he led the Customer Management Group responsible for introducing business process technologies and innovation.

Mike is a veteran mobile internet and consumer products executive, entrepreneur and early stage investor, based in Silicon Valley. Most recently he was the founder and CEO of True North Cos., a venture operating company building valuable, purpose-driven companies in mobile commerce, SMB/local, financial services and consumer products. He is as an Executive in Residence at AME Cloud Ventures, the venture capital firm founded by Yahoo! co-founder Jerry Yang. Mike co-founded and launched New Frontier Foods Inc., creators of “Ocean’s Halo,” an innovative healthy and sustainable food company, where he continues to serve on the Board of Directors. New Frontier Foods is a Cava Capital I portfolio company. Mike has invested in and advised numerous startups based in Silicon Valley and internationally, including Pinterest (mobile commerce), Fanatics (sports apparel ecommerce), Omaze (crowdfunding once-in-a-lifetime experiences), Dealoyal (card-linked mobile loyalty) and Flint Mobile (mobile POS without extra hardware). He has served as a Venture Partner withNextury Ventures, a Lithuanian-based incubator and venture capital firm, and a Board member on the Digital Advisory Board of Munich-based ProSiebenSat.1, a publicly-traded European media and cable company. Prior to starting and investing in companies, Mike served in global business development and general manager positions at Groupon, where he was instrumental in creating one of the industry’s early “mobile first” ecommerce business and Yahoo!, where his team built and managed over 100 strategic partnerships with global mobile operators, OEMs and developers. Mike began his career as an M&A lawyer at Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett in New York, where he worked on technology, media and telecom deals. Mike has a J.D. from Cornell Law School, and a B.A. from Georgetown University. He serves as co-President of the Georgetown Technology Alliance, a professional association of technology executives in Silicon Valley.

Hill Ferguson is Chief Executive Officer at Doctor On Demand. With nearly two decades of experience in mobile technology, Hill has led companies at all stages of growth, from being a founder to being a senior executive at PayPal. He holds deep commitment to putting customers first by delivering the best possible products, a value that resonates with Doctor On Demand’s commitment to its industry-leading clinical quality and best-in-class customer experience. Before joining Doctor On Demand, Ferguson helped transform PayPal into a more customer-focused technology company, leading the global mobile team and eventually serving as the company’s Chief Product Officer. Prior to joining PayPal in 2011, Hill was Vice President of Product and Marketing at Zong – which pioneered new technologies that enabled consumers to make payments quickly and easily using a mobile phone number. Zong built a vast network of over 250 mobile operators in over 50 countries, while building a merchant network of leading digital goods and online gaming developers such as Sony, Sulake, Bigpoint and Facebook. He has also worked as general manager at Yodlee, where he helped develop and market personal financial management software and consumer payment products used by leading financial institutions. As a senior product manager at Yahoo!, he helped create the award-winning Yahoo! Finance website, and developed a variety of payment services. He also co-founded LoanBack, a peer-to-peer loan management service that has helped consumers manage over $1.7 billion in loans from friends and family. Hill holds a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from Vanderbilt University and lives in the San Francisco Bay area.

Ryan Cox is the Vice President of Global Partner Solutions at DocuSign. His team is focused on helping Business Development drive growth via strategic partner integrations.  Prior to this role, Ryan spent several years as a Vice President of Product Management and Product Strategy.  His primary focus was helping DocuSign expand globally by mastering the "Local Trust" requirements within digital transactions, with a special emphasis on the legal, cultural, and technical aspects of Signatures. Ryan’s excitement and evangelism around the trusted transaction capabilities offered by Confirm led to him taking a role on the Confirm Advisory Board.

Prior to DocuSign Ryan worked at several industry-leading companies, most notably Oracle, Ariba, Sony (Gracenote), and CrowdFlower.  He is also a founder and active partner at The Independent, one of the most successful live music clubs in the US. Ryan holds a BS in Mathematics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, as well as a BA in Sound Arts from Ex'pression Digital College.

Tom Wheeler, 31st United States' FCC Chairman & Consumer Privacy Advocate

Mr. Wheeler is an avid technology entrepreneur and policymaker with a deep understanding of cable and cellular markets. Tom was the 31stChairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) appointed under President Barack Obama. He also served as President of the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) and was CEO of the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association (CTIA). Tom served on the Board of the GSMA, a trade association that represents the interests of mobile operators on a global basis.  Throughout his career, Wheeler has advocated for greater consumer privacy rights, putting the issue at the forefront of his political agenda as he took on the largest internet service providers related to issues of consumer data collection, usage, and transparency. Mr. Wheeler was appointed by President Clinton and President Bush to the Board of Trustees of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. On the twentieth anniversary of the cable television industry, Cablevision magazine selected Wheeler as one of the twenty most influential individuals in the industry’s history. Mr. Wheeler holds a B.S. from Ohio State University.
